Ragini in Rakeysh's next

From playing an unusual role in Bhaskar Bharti to a married woman in Sasural Genda Phool, Ragini’s life has changed drastically. “The shooting for Sasural began 15 days after we wrapped up Bhaskar Bharti. I had to relearn being a girl, because in Bhaskar Bharti my biggest task was not to come across as vulgar and still act like a guy stuck in a girl’s body.But here I had to act like a spoilt brat and still have an air of innocence and honesty,” says Ragini.
People relate to Suhana because of her portrayal. So can Ragini as a person relate to Suhana? “I just cannot relate to Suhana because feeling every emotion is crazy.When I go out people come to me and say my kids are just like Suhana. Suhana is real. It feels nice when people appreciate the effort put in,” adds Ragini.
And will Suhana accept Ishaan soon? “Suhana doesn’t know what she is doing. She has developed a bond with Ishaan which is of friendship but Suhana being Suhana will take time to realize how strong this bond has become,” she says.
As luck would have it, Ragini’s cousin Aarti Singh is about to make her TV debut and the show is scheduled for the same time. “We actors don’t have a say in time slot. If I have my way I will put my show in the 9 pm slot but marketing people are more intelligent that Aarti or me. I wish her and her show all the luck,” she adds merrily.
Interestingly, Ragini got many scripts for shows as well as films. So, what made her pick Sasural Genda Phool? “Only our producer, Ravi sir, made me pick this show. When I first met him I knew I had to work with him because I could learn a lot under him,” she adds.
And what about films? “I have finished my shooting schedule for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's next but that’s all I can divulge right now,” says Ragini.
